Reunion in Austin!

Great Wall’s Lakeside Reunion 2007


Our annual Great Wall Family Reunion was a huge success! As you know, 2007 marks our 11th anniversary of placing children with forever families. Our reunion was held here in Austin, TX at the Emma Long Metropolitan Park on Saturday, June 23rd. Approximately 260 people attended this Rain or Shine annual event. We were a little damp at first, but after that, the sun shone beautifully for the rest of the day!

The kids had a great time making crafts, getting their faces painted, jumping in the moonwalk, munching on snow cones and swimming in Lake Austin.

Ruby's Barbecue catered a delicious lunch which included beef brisket, sausage, barbecued chicken, bean, slaw and Peach Cobbler! By the look of those loaded plates, we think everyone enjoyed the food!

   

Thank you to all of the families that purchased CCAA books and colorful Chinese trays. All proceeds went towards our Great Wall Charity Missions for the children left behind. All of these items as well as other gift items from China can be purchased in our Great Wall Store
